LG Infinia 55LW5600 55-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 120 Hz LED-LCD HDTV with Smart TV
LG's Cinema 3D technology delivers flicker free
Let me first of all that I had this game two days ago, so it has been my experience. I should also note that I have had HDTV for several years and already sold an HDTV, then this is not the first rodeo HD.
I first bought the Samsung D6000, but it was defective (dead pixel cluster). That a decent set. When thinking about change (Amazon was out of the D6000), I talked long and hard between this set and the Toshiba TL515. After this a couple of days, I am happy with my decision. I love this picture, even better than my D6000.
What is this place - it's really a nice bright image. Very clean and fresh. This is a frosted glass, you can see some pictures to give it a little less clear-sighted, but I see the other, it creates much less reflective than the image displayed on glossy paper. It is also for me to give it more life than the picture and adds some texture images.
Web browser features are correct, but not excellent. Although the magic of movement distance (which is very cool), it is somewhat difficult to navigate through things, especially when my laptop is right in front of me. In addition to streaming, I do not see myself using a lot of property. On the other hand, I have downloaded the update for new software very quickly, which was nice.
What is 3D, I have no 3D Blu-ray, but I do not use the function of 2D-3D conversion, which is pretty neat. That's not true 3D, but it gives an image of great depth. I can not imagine doing a ton, though. I was not really the market for 3D, but thought for the same price, why not.
Another couple of neat little things - television is the part that touch does not make you a ton, but it's pretty cool. Frame is also an attractive appearance, a little larger than I would, but it's not bad. Samsung had a comfortable base and frame, but it is a small thing, I doubt that I think about it again to write this.
Another random note buyers - sports, I tons, and at first had a lot of jitter and pixelation around moving objects (like a ball or running feet). I disabled the feature TruMotion, and seems to have corrected the problem. This is a very occasional slight distortion moving quickly, but I doubt there TV out there that does not give you all of this what so ever. I never received my Samsung to the point where I was satisfied with fast moving images.
Overall: I love TV. I am very pleased with the purchase and I definitely recommend the Samsung D6000.
Although the service at Amazon is an extraordinary customer service, the LG is much to be desired. My 5600 was less than 60 days and I come home to find my son's TV and bellowing smoke is formed behind the set. I immediately puled the plug does not light a fire, but now my whole house smelled of burning plastic. I called LG and they had this technology the next day. He had no parts to repair my TV and said he would have five days to get a new motherboard to my TV. I called customer service again to see what LG was going to charge me for damage by smoke from my house and they told me to open the window. Its 23 degrees and snowing. I asked where is my new TV, because it is not bad and they said it's not how they do things. I am mortally afraid that this TV at home because I can not count on the reliability of the LG. They do nothing to replace the loss of my very expensive TV time.
Once I had a TV set at home and I gave 2D to 3D Converter a try. I was amazed at the effect works better than you can imagine, I invite you to walk to store and check it out.
So far I have seen dozens of films in 3D using Converter. 3D is well done. It is no exaggeration 3D effect, things do not trip off the screen, but the effect is like looking out the window. This is the way it should be as eye-popping effects rapidly lead to eye fatigue and give you a headache.
What is more surprising is that I do not need to buy movies in 3-D. I have no 3D Blu-ray player or receiver HDMI compatible 3D. I can watch 3D True Grit Netflix streaming, watch Walking Dead in 3D, you name it. Until now, high definition sources appear to work best. Some of my DVDs were a hit or miss. The Matrix DVD, for example, looks good, but some scenes were too much contrast with the 3D effect was diminished. BluRay sources, however, have all worked perfectly. Displaying photos panoramic epic Lord of the Rings in 3D using a totally new experience.
A final note of 3D glasses. This TV uses a 3D passive. This means cheap or expensive heavy shutter. 3D glasses are simple, lightweight plastic. It also means they are more prone to scratches, the glass. So you must be careful not to throw them into a pile of remote controls. However, because they cost ~ $ 5 to replace is not a huge deal, if you have to replace them on the road.
Have this TV has changed his mind about 3D movies at home. I really enjoyed re-watching my collection of 3D movies is on. I think I liked it adds more depth to my old films.
I honestly think this is the first review I've ever written for this product at Amazon. I'm not used to buy, and just let go. But this TV has affected me so I thought, at least put two hundred to the other.
I ordered a grand prix here. Shipping was free, and it was considered "white glove", which means I think they will take the case to carry it in, and make sure it works before you leave. I live on the third floor of a building and the guys have taken all the way and did it.
I have the Samsung 50 "Plasma, which is an image larger than the one it replaces. Why did I buy it? Mainly because of the hype and 3D is the first family to have that. I know This is not the best reason for that, but I thought, at least try it. If I do not like it would go back.
In fact, I bought it to go to a store to see big block first, because the price here. The next day I decided to go see him in person, we close the trade. Unfortunately, I was disappointed there. TV had some 3D movie trailers they were demo'ing, and they did not really make it shine. I told myself not to be disappointed and I was waiting for came. And I'm glad I did.
Once I had mine I downloaded files online, including LG's 3D demo official of this fish, which comes out of the box in the middle of you and the screen. Now, I was very impressed! One thing I'm sitting about 7 feet back on the screen. A little closer and noticed lines interlaced 3D. But where I was, it seemed to 1080p.
I had problems connecting to Wii-style remote to my TV. When I turned my TV to the Internet and will be updated with new firmware when it is connected. I also noticed that the original interlaced lines, I saw when I was close to the screen was much more difficult to see. Study, it seems that LG has updated its algorithm to new firmware, so they are visible, and it works!
In addition, if you google you will see that you can activate the THX setting for regular and 3D content, which makes the TV look great! And if you do a lot of media via the TV, you can enable Dolby Digital passthrough. Otherwise, it limits you to two channels.
Some people have complained about the TV is a shift of the game. After searching the forums I found a few things that make this disappear completely (entries are written to the computer and put it into the HDMI input 3). I have no lag issues. I play a lot of video games, so this was important to me.
Some advice - turn off the "Tru-motion" for the TV to watch with the natural movements. Also take the local dimming "HIGH" for a TV will really shine in contrast. It will be much time to do the reverse light-dark edges will disappear from the scene. Works great!
Once the correct settings for the TV show 10 times better than my Samsung plasma did not. I am very pleased with my purchase and would do it again at any time. This TV looks and works like a good TV to pay thousands more.
Updated - 2D to 3D works pretty well, but it really depends on the material you are watching. I watched nature shows in the top and it looked amazing. In addition, you will need a TV cable internet drives (do not use the wifi). I just read someone complaining about Netflix look pretty bad in some moving material, but the faster cable, I do not see any artifacts. TV to play back MKV files perfectly if you are interested to download, and there are many 3D MKV files out there that works well with this TV. Use the "Plex Media Server" which you can Google on the Web. It is free and sponsored by LG. Works much better then Nero CD they send to the TV
